Changezi Chicken Recipe
"Changezi Chicken" is a very old Indian dish. Since the Moghol era, there are different types of Chicken preparation are stealing food lover's heart. "Changezi Chicken" is one of them. This dish is very popular in the northern side of India. Peoples from north India said that this recipe may have some link with the Mongol Inventor Chengiz Khan, that's why this recipe named "Changezi Chicken". Let's see how to cook "Changezi Chicken".

Ingredients Which We Need For Cooking
- Chicken [ 600 gms ]
- Mustard oil [ 5 tablespoons ]
- Yogurt [ 25 gms ]
- Onion [ 2 large ]
- Tomato puree [ 3 medium ]
- Ginger-Garlic paste [ 3tablespoons ]
- Cashew nuts [8 to 10 pieces ]
- Lemon Juice [ 3 tablespoons ]
- Milk [ 1/2 cup ]
- Salt.
- Red chili powder.
- Coriander powder.
- Garam masala powder.
Marination / Preparetion
- At first, take a big bowl to add the chicken after that one by one adds 2 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of red chili powder, 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, and lemon juice marinate them by your hand. Keep it in the refrigerator for1 hour.
- Chop the onions and fry them along with cashew nuts in little oil. Transfer them into a blender and make a fine paste. Keep it aside.
- Bring out the chicken and add yogurt to it. Mix them well.
Lets Cook
- Take a saucepan to cook the marinated chicken until the water drys. Remove them from the saucepan and transfer it into another plate.
- Use that same saucepan to add 4 tablespoons of oil. once the oil is hot enough add the remaining Ginger-Garlic paste. saute well for at least 2 minutes.
- Now add the tomato puree. Cook them till the rawness of tomato is gone.
- After that, add the half cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of Garam masala powder, and 1 tablespoon of coriander powder and the fried onion cashew nut paste. Give them all a good stir. and cover them for 5 minutes to be cooked.
- After 5 minutes add the cooked chicken and mix them with gravy. check the salt. and add 1 cup of hot water and let them cook for 15 minutes until it becomes soft.
Here is the "Changezi Chicken" that is ready to serve with paratha or roti.
