Dum Aloo Recipe

           Yummy " Dum Aloo" will be cooked for today's breakfast. This dish is a symbol of authenticity for all the Bengali People. Every foodie will love this " Dum Aloo" along with Lucchi, Chapati, Roti. It is a very thick and creamy gravy recipe and also full of flavors. Today we will know How to cook Creamy " Dum Aloo" at home.

Ingredients
  1. Small size Aloo ( 500 gms)
  2. Green peas.
  3. Chopped coriander.
  4. Tomato puree ( 2)
  5. Onion paste. ( 1 large)
  6. Ginger Garlic paste. ( 1 tablespoon )
  7. Cumin seed.
  8. Cumin Powder. ( 1 tablespoon)
  9. Red chili powder. ( 1/2 tablespoon)
  10. Salt.
  11. Sugar.
  12. Turmeric powder.
  13. Garam masala powder. ( 1/2 tablespoon)
  14. Mustard oil. ( 1 cup)
Lets cook
  1. Peel off the potato's skin and soak them into water.
  2. Take a saucepan to add 1/2 cup of oil and wait for the oil to become hot. then fry the potatoes nicely till they become golden.
  3. Remove the fried potatoes from the saucepan.
  4. Use the same oil to add a pinch of cumin seeds.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste. After 1 minute add onion paste and saute it for about 3 to 4 minutes. 
  6. Then add the tomato puree and green peas. continue to stir them together till the raw smell of tomato gone.
  7. Now add salt to taste. and all the powdered masala gradually.
  8. In this stage add a little bit of water to the gravy. cooked them till oil starts separating.
  9. Then add the fried potatoes and cook them for 10 minutes along with the masala.
  10. After 10 minutes add 1 cup of water and cover the saucepan for another 5 minutes.
  11. Now uncover the saucepan add chopped coriander leaves and give them all a quick stir.
  12. Turn the flame off and enjoy " Dum Aloo".
